High Down Prison in Sutton, Surrey has recently acquired a new chef ambassador in the form of famous Italian chef-restaurateur Antonio Carluccio. “The Clink” is the first commercial restaurant to be built inside a British prison.

Carluccio has been working for the restaurant for the past year, raising awareness and bringing his 50 years of gastronomic experience to run work shops for inmates. Of his new position, Mr Carluccio said "To be made a Chef Ambassador of The Clink is a great honour for me and I am extremely proud of the work and progress that has been achieved over the last 12 months....Working closely with the prisoners has been hugely rewarding and I look forward to continuing the training with them throughout 2012."

Catey winner, Alberto Crisci is in charge of the day to day running of the restaurant.
