The Doubletree by Hilton in Leicester has appointed Alec Maxfield as Head Chef.
Alec trained at Heston Blumenthal's famous restaurant The Fat Duck, and believes "eating out should be fun and exciting like going to the theatre."
Dishes on offer at the restaurant will include Gin and Tonic Jelly and Rich Liquid Chocolate Cake!
Commenting on Alec's appointment, the restaurant's general manager said "The Electric Bar and Restaurant is set to be a unique dining experience and with Alec at the helm we are looking forward to creating a modern British menu incorporating fresh local produce."
