Danny Burke Opening Restaurant In Wales

Welsh Chef Danny Burke, 34 is preparing to open Shared Olive, a 60-cover Mediterranean style restaurant at The Highway, Hawarden on August 2. Danny Burke has held the Welsh junior and senior chef titles and also won numerous gold awards at the Welsh International Culinary Championships. He was a semi-finalist in the 2002 UK Chef of the Year contest and who has competed all around the world with the Welsh National Culinary Team.

Danny, who expects to employ around 15 full and part-time staff, is now working on the menus and preparing the restaurant for the grand opening. "I've been fortunate to work in some excellent establishments before taking my career in a new direction, into new product development," said Burke. "Now I'm changing course again by using all the experience and knowledge that I've gained over the past 18 years and putting it into a small restaurant in a great little village."
