Philippe Rossiter, chief executive of the - Institute of Hospitality, says: "Despite conflicting opinions about the future direction of the post-recession world, there is absolutely no doubt that the hospitality industry is continuing to grow. Although the industry often suffers (quite unfairly) from an image of long hours and poor pay, its broad diversity provides a unique set of opportunities which can capture the imagination and provide satisfying and rewarding career paths," Phillipe also predicted a chef and hospitality jobs dividend ahead with the 2012 Olympics. "People mustn't forget that in 2012 there is going to be a huge demand for energetic and ambitious people to offer world-class hospitality to greet the millions of visitors in Britain"
