Our client a well-known luxury hotel in Chesterfield with a 2 rosette Restaurant has a requirement for Assistant Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef to join their award winning team. This hotels events facilities host up to 200 for a banquet and are very busy with weddings, charity balls and regular celebratory events throughout the calendar year.

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to work in a fast paced environment that is wholly focused on quality. You will be the head chef’s right hand man and running the kitchen in the head chefs absence. The head chef is an extremely keen developer of his highly skilled, fun and friendly team.

Our client is looking for an ambitious, experienced and creative Assistant Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef who is ideally looking for a home to hone their skills before taking on their own kitchen as Head Chef. You will work with a forward thinking head chef who is progressive, creative and very experienced to engaging, motivating and developing the whole kitchen.

What we’re looking for in a Assistant Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef:
• An enthusiastic, dynamic and qualified Assistant Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef who is ready for their next challenge .
• Someone with a background of dealing with changing menus and preparing fresh ingredients.
• Someone who is really passionate about what they put on a plate.
• Proven track record of dealing with the day to day running of a professional kitchen operation and managing up to 13 colleagues
• A team player who will be expected to build, motivate and develop your brigade to get the best results from them at all times.
• Experience of using Regen Ovens (combi)
• Experience in a Rosette restaurant

We are looking for a Assistant Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef who is:
• Ambitious, creative and talented.
• Have an ability for attention to detail.
• Be able to support the Head Chef in all aspects of running the kitchen.
• In the absence of the Head Chef manage the brigade and the pass.
• Ensure that our standards are met and most importantly producing outstanding food for our customers.
