Pan-fried calf's head and stuffed pig's trotters are on the menu at legendary chef Pierre Koffmann's new restaurant at the Berkeley Hotel in London, which opens on July 15th. With Koffmann's outstanding reputation and a menu inspired by 'the rustic country cooking of his home region of Gascony in France', the restaurant is expected to cause great excitement and be fully booked when it opens.
The former three-star chef has not had his own London restaurant since 2002 and he said: "I am thrilled to be returning to a place I know and love". The success of his 2009 'pop-up' restaurant on top of Selfridges whet his appetite to start a new restaurant in London. And as he opens up his Knightsbridge brasserie, a short distance from the likes of Heston Blumenthal and Daniel Boulud, all eyes will be on Koffmann's creative cuisine.
