Description

Key responsibilities:

  • The most important part of your job is to maintain an excellent standard of all round service at the Chalet Loden. It is your responsibility to keep the chalet clean and well organised , with a warm friendly atmosphere and an extremely high standard of food, service and presentation at all times.
  • Our premier chalet is one of the best in the Alps so this position is of the utmost responsibility and requires an efficient, positive and cheerful attitude.
  • Being flexible as to the different requirements of guests.

Duties:

  •  To work as part of a team at all times and to direct the chalet staff as necessary.
    • Organisation of all menus over a two week plan in accordance with Premier Chalet standard.
  • Comply with all standards detailed in the Premier Chalet Manual.
  • Cook and prepare breakfast, afternoon tea, pre dinner canapés and dinner to set standard.
  • Ensure that meals are presented to a high standard and that service runs smoothly.
  • Organising, ordering and shopping for all supplies (food, wine and housekeeping).
  • Organise finances in line with set budgets.
  • Ensure that the expectations your guests have of Mark Warner are fulfilled.
  • Work together with the team to create an excellent atmosphere in the chalet at all times.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times.
  • To assist chalet girls in cleaning of the Chalet.
  • To comply with all health and safety regulations throughout the chalet as well as ensuring that the kitchen and storage areas are always cleaned and organised correctly, including a weekly deep clean.
  • To inform Clare White of any maintenance issues.
  • To ensure that all pathways and balconies are cleared of snow and ice.
  • To drive an 8 seater minibus (collecting guests in resort and for shopping trips).
  • To ensure that the chalet vehicle is kept clean and all relevant documents are kept inside.
  • To take overall responsibility of the safety of the chalet.
  • To have good resort knowledge in order to help guests get the most from their holiday.
  • To contact guests prior to their arrival as regards dietry requests, lift passes, ski hire, ski lessons etc.

Requirements

  • Health & Safety Food Hygiene certificates 
  • 1 years’ experience as Chef/relevant cooking experience
  • At least 21 years of age
  • UK/EU Passport holder, UK National Insurance Number & UK Bank Account
