South American Food To Sweep UK

Top chefs are predicting that South American dishes will soon sweep across the UK as a number of new restaurants are set to open.

Earlier this month De La Panza, an Argentinian grill opened in Islington. Next month Brazillian barbeque, Cabana, will be opening in the West End and at Stratford's Westfield Shopping Centre, and Las Iguanas are opening branches in Newcastle and Sheffield. Central London will see another two restaurants opening in the new year, Ceviche in Soho and Lima in Shoreditch.

Colombian ambassador, Mauricio Rodriguez said "This is going to be the decade of Latin America. People are discovering exotic flavours and wonderful fruits: they're looking for something new."

It would seem that chefs looking for a job would well advised to brush up on their South American cuisine!
