Three aspiring chefs from Swindon have been announced as finalists in a national search to find the country's next top cooking talent. Emma Pike, Connor Halls and Shona Hargreave from Bradon Forest School impressed celebrity chef James Martin as they took part in the Red Tractor "Beef And Lamb Make it With Mince Challenges". James will judge the recipes live and each regional winner will then have the chance to be crowned national champion and win a day with James in London, watching Saturday Kitchen live. Now in its sixth year, the Challenge is aimed at 11 to 16 year-olds who are passionate about cooking. James Martin said: "The competition is something that I'm really passionate about as I think it's so important to encourage kids to experiment in the kitchen and develop their food skills."
